After joining Element Care, Susan had two surgeries that initially left her quadriplegic and wheelchair bound which she thought would be for life.

With the help of Element Care’s rehab and nursing teams, Susan made tremendous progress. She has slowly gotten the feeling back and is able to stand and walk using a walker. Susan receives PT/OT daily at the PACE Center as well as in her home to ensure a speedy recovery. She is grateful that her rehab team is always pushing her and finding ways to make her life easier and better.

Susan now gets rides to all her medical appointments, help with medication management from her nurses and has a complete medical team close to her home.

“In rehab, they gave me the nickname Sparkle because I had such a positive attitude,” said Susan. “I found my sparkle at Element Care…it’s a miracle that I’m walking and that’s because of all the great care and encouragement that I received from my care team. I love my family and grandchildren enormously and PACE at Element Care is right up there too.”
